To promote sustainable development and economic vitality through strategic long-range planning. The Lansing Township Planning Commission is a citizen advisory board consisting of seven members appointed by the Lansing Township Board.
The Planning Commission operates under the authority of State Municipal Planning Statutes. Members review development projects, subdivision plats, and zoning ordinance amendments. All meetings are open to the public, and community input is highly encouraged.
Planning Commission members also serve as Brownfield Redevelopment Authority.
Meeting Times
Planning Commission meetings are held (when case is pending) at the Charter Township of Lansing offices, located at 3209 W. Michigan Ave. Meetings are held in the Board Room.
