The Lansing Township Police Department is committed to serving the residents, businesses, and visitors of Lansing Township with the highest quality of service. The department is led by the Chief of Police and includes a Lieutenant, four Patrol Sergeants, eight Uniformed Police Officers, as well as a Detective Sergeant, Detective, and a full-time Office Manager. Vacation Checks
If you are going to be away from your home for a minimum of 5 days or maximum of 6 months, and wish to have officers conduct periodic security checks of your home, please call the Administration telephone number at 517-485-1700 option 2 or please fill out the Property Check Submission form.
Vehicle Unlock
Locked your keys in your car? Our officers are trained to unlock vehicles safely and quickly, getting you back on the road as soon as possible. For assistance, please call 911 or reach out to the Non-Emergency Dispatch at 517-272-6026.
Microchip Reader
We offer a free microchip scanning service for animals and will provide you with the microchip number if one is detected. To find other microchip scanning locations in Ingham County click here.
Take Back Meds
Dispose of unused or expired medications safely at our Township Hall/Police Department through our drug drop off bin. Visit us Monday – Friday, 8:00Am-5:00PM to properly dispose of medications.
Courts often require individuals to have Preliminary Breath Tests to assure that no alcoholic beverages are being consumed. PBTs are administered for a $10.00 fee between the hours of 8:00AM to 5:00PM.
