The department is led by the Chief of Police and includes a Lieutenant, four Patrol Sergeants, eight Uniformed Police Officers, as well as a Detective Sergeant, Detective, and a full-time Office Manager. A variety of services are available to the community and are provided by the Department.
If you are going to be away from your home for a minimum of 5 days or maximum of 6 months, and wish to have officers conduct periodic security checks of your home, please call the Administration telephone number at 517-485-1700 option 2 or please fill out the Property Check Submission Form on the menu to the left.
Dispose of unused or expired medications safely at our Township Hall/Police Department through our drug drop off bin. Visit us Monday – Friday, 8:00Am-5:00PM to properly dispose of medications.

Courts often require individuals to have Preliminary Breath Tests to assure that no alcoholic beverages are being consumed. PBTs are administered for a $10.00 fee between the hours of 8:00AM to 5:00PM, Monday – Friday. Service not available on weekends.

MCOLES LICENSING STANDARDS FOR MICHIGAN LAW ENFOCEMENT OFFICERS
The Lansing Township Police Department is seeking dedicated individuals committed to protecting and serving the community.
If you are at least 18 years old, in good physical condition, and hold a valid Michigan driver’s license with a clean driving record, we encourage you to apply.
